| This simple Tutorial will show in 10 minutes how to connect Siri and Apple Homekit to almost ANY cheap Smart Home device including the Broadlink RM Pro and Sonoff devices. I will show you how to turn Siri into an IFTTT trigger using the IFTTT Webhooks service so you will be able to control almost any cheap Smart Plug or Smart lights, but this will also show you how to connect Siri to control any infrared based TV or set top box using the Broadlink IFTTT service! IFTTT is also connected to Samsung Smartthings, which means you will also be able to control Smartthings with Siri! This technique will allow you to control almost anything. I don’t own an apple homepod to test if this works with the apple speaker, but all documentation suggests that it would, but the homepod will be reliant on the i-phone to carry out the request.
